Currency Surgical Strike and Social Media

Nov 13 2016|Sector 37,Chandigarh

Chandigarh has witnessed mixed effect of currency surgical strike. Heavy congestion was observed on 10th-11th November 2016 near banks and ATM’s. I personally visited private bank branch in sector-37 on 12th Nov and withdraw INR 10,000 through check book. I spent around 40-45 minutes which is fair enough. I observed banks staffs were handling things very well.

One very important point we need to tell you is do not forget to sign with the date on your id-proof’s photocopy so that anybody cannot be able to use your id-proof to convert their black money in the name of yours.

Some news also spread across Chandigarh, Mohali and Punchkula that sack of Rs. 500 & Rs.1000 found, Cartoon pack of Rs. 500 & Rs.1000 found. Gold prices hiked up to INR 40000 per 10 grams and many more.

There were long queues in banks, post-office and ATM’s. People wait for hours, but many went empty handed. Dry ATM and banks fuel frustration of peoples. Senior citizens, physically challenged people and pregnant ladies suffered a lot as they had to spend long hours in queues. In some of ATM’s there were no longer waiting queues.

This is one of historical incident in India and people across the Chandigarh, Mohali and Punchkula hoping for the best in favor of economy and their pockets.

Somebody on social media website posted that after 1947, this would be the first week in Indian history that nobody has been taken bribes.

IMF (International Monetary fund) appreciated the Modi’s government Currency surgical strike in India.
